PRIVATE ACTOR’S TUITION

Location

Studio hire may be available. Otherwise, we will work online, or on occasion in N4, London.

Preparation

You need to know your text. We can be most productive if you are off-book, so make sure you bring speeches or scenes that you know and want to work on. If we have multiple sessions, I may suggest alternative texts that I think may suit you – we will discuss this together.

Each session includes:

– Detailed, personal feedback on your monologues and wider acting practice

– In depth craft teaching on audition technique

– Administrative support on auditioning and drama school deadlines/requirements

– Written notes/feedback sent to you post-session, so you can be fully present in-session

The session

We begin by discussing your past experience and future ambition, so I can get a sense of your work. I offer expert advice on the audition process, the drama school experience and life as an actor.

We then begin the tuition. We work on your craft – starting by accessing your breath, freeing tension, then moving on to detailed focus on your texts.

Outcome

You will leave the session with a renewed sense of confidence, understanding, freedom and ownership over your text. You will feel like you’ve worked hard, and stretched your creative muscles. I aim for you to feel more comfortable in yourself as an actor, and will give you the tools to walk into your next audition with unapologetic joy.

Self–tape consultation

I also offer a self tape consultation, where I will watch your audition tapes, and respond with detailed feedback on what you could improve to give you your best chance of success.
