Allyship is at the heart of Grace’s practice.

This begins with inner work: an awareness and understanding of whiteness and privilege, and continues to the outer work, systematically ensuring no student must detract anything from themselves to exist and succeed in her rehearsal room and beyond.

Grace holds an MA in Actor Training and Coaching at Central (distinction). This study has involved the exploration of multiple strands of practice and theory, including: Hendricks, Overlie, Chekhov, Spolin, O’Brien, Stanislavsky, Donnellan, Vakhtangov, Luckett, Laurillard, hooks, Rogers, Crenshaw, Pisk, Mitchell and Le Coq. This experience highlights Grace’s understanding of diverse actor training, the practice serving the students she meets.

Grace has undertaken extensive research and training in the Hendricks Method and Nicole Brewer’s Anti-Racist Theatre, with the focus on working imaginatively to ensure an anti- oppressive training space for each student’s cultural and creative heritage to serve their best work.
